1. This contest is open to all active residents of the United States. Only one entry per person is allowed.

2. Photographs submitted in online entries must be in .jpg format wit a file size less than 1mb. No added borders or computer-generated enhancements will be accepted for consideration. If selected as winner, photo contest applicants must have a digital copy available (.jpg or .tiff format with a resolution of 300 dpi or greater).

3. All entries must include First Name, Last Name, E-mail address, Phone, Mailing Address including City, State and ZIP as well as dog title, dog breed and dog’s name. Illegible or incomplete entries will not be considered. Please be sure you have permission for submission of the photograph from all individuals pictured. If your entry includes a photograph of pets or children who are not yours, please make sure you have permission from the parent or guardian for submission of the photograph and its use as described below.

4. One Winner will be named for prize photo contest prize package:

• $500 cash and a $500 donation to the winner’s animal shelter of choice. (Provided by PSI)

5. Entries may be published in The WORLD of PROFESSIONAL PET SITTING. Photographs may also be posted on PSI’s Web site at www.petsit.com. Entry in the contest constitutes your permission for PSI and its sponsors to use your entry, name and information for promotional and/or publication purposes in the magazine, on the Web site and in other media.

6. Entries must be received no sooner than 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern time on April 1, 2011 and no later than 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern time on July 31, 2011. PSI is not responsible for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or sponsor.

7. The photo with the highest number of votes will be named the 2011 winning photo.

8. Winners will be notified by e-mail by August 28, 2011. Prizes will be mailed to the winners via U.S. Mail service or commercial carrier. A list of winners will be posted on www.takeyourdog.com and on PSI’s Web site, www.petsit.com. A written list of winners may also be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to PSI 2011 Professional Pooch Contest Winners, 201 East King St., King, NC 27021.

9. All entries become the property of Pet Sitters International and may be used for future promotional purposes. By submitting a photograph in your entry, you grant and transfer to Pet Sitters International, Inc. all rights, including copyright, trademark rights, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights and any other rights, in and to the photograph, including the right to reproduce, edit, and distribute the photograph in any form or medium, without further permission or compensation, and authorize PSI to use your name, biographical information, and other indicia of identity in connection with advertising and promotional materials related to the PSI publications and events, including, but not limited to, local and national press releases, the PSI internet Web site, printed publications and other uses. By submitting a photograph, you represent to PSI that you have the sole rights to authorize such use of the photograph and have the permission of all persons appearing in the photograph that PSI may use the photograph as described above without further obligation.

By entering the contest, entrants agree that PSI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall have no liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize. By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of PSI, which are final.
